I walked outside yesterday and Whiskers (the stray that never left) was laying in the middle of Kenny's camo. I laughed at the thought of Kenny's reaction, he'd be mortified!
We are a family of 5 living in the sticks of Oklahoma. Kenny and I just celebrated our 10th Wedding Anniversary. We've been together for 14 years. We have been blessed with 3 beautiful and crazy girls Madelyn, Ellie and Chloe. I love being a mom and try to soak up everything I can with the girls, as I know it will all go so fast. My truest aspiration in life is to be remembered as a great mom. I can't think of a greater compliment.
I remember when Kenny and I were dating, watching him with children and thinking what a great Dad he would be. He has by far surpassed all of my expectations, he is a phenomenal Dad and the girls adore him.
I love to take pictures, garden, make cards- anything creative makes me happy. Kenny lives to hunt and is currently obsessed with the wild hogs on my parents land. The house we live in was built in 1973 and hasn't been touched since. We are remodeling it ourselves, as we can pay for it with no debt- so at any given moment something is either torn up or not working. I refer to this insane way of living and thinking as remodeling purgatory. I know that we will live through it, the question is- Will we still be married? jk We enjoy a simple but wonderful life and wouldn't trade it for anything. Living in the country allows us to teach our children about nature, the respect it deserves and the daily treasures and rewards it provides.
I created this blog to keep our family and friends updated,to journal all the wonderful and crazy things our children do and to chronical our nature experiences. Enjoy!
