If I only had wings

This morning in the car Ellie says "Mommy this year for my birthday I want real wings not pretend ones". I said ok. She said" When I get my real wings I can fly to Ms. Heathers house instead of you driving but first I probably need to practice flying at the house. Then when I get good, I can fly to Ms. Heathers house." I said ok again, torn on what to say. She was obvioiusly so excited about flying and I didnt want to break her heart and tell her that she wouldnt be able to fly. Children are so precious and so full of great imaginations and big dreams, it makes me laugh and cry all at the same time....

I love this story! I wish I could fly too, but unfortunately I am an adult and know better. Too bad.

Careful Miss Tamatha just what all you allow them to believe, one day they may try it! If they become adrenaline junkies, you'll have little choice but to keep your heart at bay in the middle of your throat. Your blog confirms that your heart is in good working order. It is the heart of a loving mother. Thanks for leading by example.
